There is no respite for Delhi Daredevils despite taking three wickets of Chennai Super Kings as they are hitting them for big shots all round the ground at the MAC Stadium in Chennai.
Chennai Super Kings have lost Stephen Fleming, Parthiv Patel and Viduyt Sivaramakrishnan. Viduyt (54) hit an electrifying half-century before McGrath claimed his wicket.
Stephen Fleming (13), who was playing his first match of the DLF IPL, opened along with Parthiv Patel in the absence of Australian Matthew Hayden. The duo gave a steady start to their side before Yo Mahesh bowled Fleming out in a dramatic over.
Parthiv Patel (21) was deceived by Delhi captain Virender Sehwag and was caught by Yo Mahesh at short third man region.
The Chennai Super Kings are so far unbeaten in the tournament and are at the top of the points table. Their captain, MS Dhoni would want to continue with the winning streak against the Daredevils.
Delhi Daredevils are in a better position as their top foreign player Glenn McGrath has bid adieu to the international cricket and is available for them in the tournament. They have Pradeep Sangwan coming in for Daniel Vettori while AB de Villiers replaces Manoj Tiwary.
