Delhi Daredevils Shoaib Malik understands well that batsmen need to improvise on their strokeplay to be successful in the Twenty20.
"I have been practising the scoop shot and will play it as per the situation," Malik said at a press meet after sweating out in the Kotla on Thursday. The Delhi heat had taken its toll on Malik, who enjoyed the capital winter during their Test series against India last year.
"I find Delhi hotter than probably Hyderabad, where I played my first match," Malik said.
The Pakistan captain however, felt that the IPL was not only restricted to India but becoming a global phenomenon, drawing audiences to television in his country as well like Bollywood blockbusters did.
He said"People there have lapped it up like the movies. It's like enjoying a cinema with popcorn and soft drinks. The three-hour duration (of the matches) has also helped to create the craze,".
